The latest addition to our new house is a spanking new fireplace.
The main wall in the lounge looked exceedingly bare, and as the house is a 1970s build, we didn't even have a chimney breast.
(Although C - who was reading over my shoulder - just informed me we do actually have a "chimney breast" so to speak, just not an actual chimney. Glad we could clear that one up!)
So we opted for a nice electric, flame effect fire. Oak surround, cream backing and silver metallic fire. For such a considered purchase, there was little fuss and it was installed pretty quickly on Saturday morning.
As I type, we are sat bathed in its warm glow and I must say, it really does add to the lounge immeasurably!
